Our architectural design process brings together your ideas, your site and your budget to create a home that reflects how you want to live.
From early concepts through detailed design and consenting, we guide you with clear communication and considered advice. Working closely with you, consultants and your builder, with construction support available, we help you understand each stage, make confident decisions and bring your home to life.
Stage 01
Where ideas take shape
This is the collaborative part of the process. We establish what you want to achieve, understand the site and constraints, explore ideas together, and progressively turn those ideas into a resolved architectural design. Through meetings, feedback and shared decisions, you help shape a home that reflects the way you want to live.
We establish the brief, priorities, site information, project requirements and the right pathway forward.
Learn More →We test the site, planning considerations and early design opportunities before committing to a direction.
Learn More →Your home begins to take architectural form as we explore layout, scale, character and the relationship between spaces.
Learn More →We refine the preferred concept, coordinate the major design decisions and prepare the project for detailed documentation.

Stage 02
Turning design into something buildable
With the design established, our focus shifts towards technical resolution. We prepare the documentation, coordinate consultants and navigate the regulatory requirements needed to get your project ready for construction. Your day-to-day involvement reduces while we work through the detail, keeping you informed and bringing key decisions back to you. Where resource consent is needed, this work may begin during design.
Where resource consent is required, we prepare the architectural information, coordinate with your planner and support the application. This work may begin during design, depending on the project.
Learn More →We develop the drawings and specifications, resolve construction details and coordinate consultant input so the design is clearly documented for consent and construction.
Learn More →We prepare and lodge the building consent documentation, coordinate responses to council queries and help progress the application towards approval.

Stage 03
Bringing the architecture to life
We help you prepare for construction and select the right build team. Once work begins, the builder takes the lead on site while you remain involved in key decisions. Through the construction services agreed for your project, we answer design and compliance questions, support the build team and help protect the architectural intent as your home takes shape.
We help you select a suitable builder, review pricing and clarify the scope of work so you can make informed decisions before construction begins.
Learn More →Where agreed, we support the construction contract process, review payment claims and variations, and help keep communication clear between you and the builder.
Learn More →Through agreed site visits, we observe progress, respond to design queries and help the builder interpret the documentation and maintain the architectural intent.
Learn More →Sam, would love to meet you, either onsite, or on a video call to discuss your project. Whether you’re at the start of your research, at the idea stage, or ready to work on a full architectural design together, let’s chat and see how we can make it happen.
